Photography classes coming!

We looked at the calendar, and found a few dates to work in our first group of photography classes!

After a ‘meet and greet’ with light snacks, we will get started on Saturday, November 5th at 2pm for some classroom work, then start the hands-on portion around 3pm until 4pm. There will be three consecutive weeks of classes, 11.05.11, 11.12.11, 11.19.11 and then a little break for Thanksgiving week. We will finish things up with a Gallery Showing on December 3, 2011, that will be open to the public. Class size will be limited and the fee is just $99! Watch for more details, or send us an email to let us know that you would like to be notified when Registration begins.

Introducing… our first assistant photographer!

Selena is my first assistant photographer and intern. We are working on a fabulous window concept, a new contest, and ‘on location’ sessions, as well as creating images for Explore Sewickley, publishing our first newsletter, and much more.

Welcome, Selena. I’m so happy you are here!

Selena is a sixteen year old high school student whose interests include photography, psychology, writing, and music. She has always loved the art of photography, and began seriously practicing it herself around age 13. She enjoys using several types of cameras from digital, to film, to instant Polaroid. Currently, her collection includes a Canon Rebel XSI, a Nikon 35 film, a Kodak Vigilant six-20, a Brownie Hawkeye, a Honeywell Pentax, and a Polaroid. Selena believes that Busy Bee Boutique Photography is the perfect place for her to intern, because it not only teaches the art and skill of photography, but the business and marketing side as well. Already impressed with everything she’s learned thus far, Selena is very excited to continue her internship and assistance throughout her junior year.

Bear bottom … Pittsburgh baby photography

I am trying to decide what to feature from this collection as a sneak peek, and well, I just can’t help myself! There is so much more that I absolutely LOVE from this session, but the Bear Bottom definitely takes the top spot. I just couldn’t wait to share it!
